really great experience there. quiet little hotel located really close to restaurant and the industrial outskirts. lots of reasonably priced food. good location, big double room with a great view, a balcony, as example.

the view..amazing..
our first room was in very poor condition and smelt of damp. we asked to change because of this, which wasn't a problem, but then they went on to charge us more for the new room!i thought this was poor from their point of view.however, the new room was a vast improvement, much better condition/decoration, and the view was fantastic! they charged 7.50 euro per breakfast, which again was poor value - cereal with croissants, toast, hard rolls and jam, no ham or cheese or anything with it.not worth the money.also when we came to leave, they totted up the bill which was over 500 euro for a 3 night stay. luckily i had printed the email from Booked.net and they had to honour that..on a good note however, the hotel was spotlessly clean.

The guestrooms at Horizon 117 were cozy and comfortable, making me feel right at home. The free WiFi was a huge plus for me, allowing me to stay connected with ease. It was such a relief as a guest with disabilities to have this convenience.
While I enjoyed my stay, I personally found the number of rooms, including ten, a bit overwhelming.

Although only a night stop between other destinations, this was a suprise all round. The staff reception was welcoming and helpful although no english spoken. The room, though small had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The restaurant was the biggest suprise for its quality and choice of food and wines. The public areas could do with a spruce up but the pool was another unexpected offering in this budget hotel.
Nothing serious though the carpets throughout needed replacement and a re-decoration would be welcome.

The hotel restaurant offered a wide choice of a la carte or fixed price dining, and was fully-booked with French holiday makers.

The location may not be the best but the hotel grounds are surprisingly pleasant, with a jaw-dropping garden and pool. The food served at the mind-blowing restaurant, both dinner, and breakfast, is super delicious and reasonably priced. On top of that, there is free Wi-Fi, ample free parking, a cool bar/lounge area, and a seasonal outdoor pool with sun loungers. The rooms are spacious, equipped with a flat-screen TV, and offer a stunning view. this hotel exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to stay here again. Plus, they even allow pets!

The pool
Having no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. Hotelier gave us hostile looks after asking about this and for not eating in his restaurant probably. The restaurant was always busy so I presume the food was good but it was too expensive. The rooms needed decorating and updating. stated 20 minutes fron centre but more like 1hour walking. Make sure you get a room with a balcony other wise you will feel as though you are in a cell. Photos on site show the the back of the hotel with balconyt rooms and restaurant/ pool area lit up, decieving.

I liked the friendly welcome and the outlook of the room with a balcony.
As I read in other reviews, the state of the corridor carpet is shocking and creates a bad first impression. The bathroom door did not fit the frame and so would not shut and there was an empty shower gel container in the shower. My girlfriend's tuna was over cooked and we were reimbursed for this. The two waitresses were unsmiling to the point of sulkiness and seemed to have no idea how to serve and relate to the customer.

Well placed in relation to towns of interest, especially St Lizier, and easy access to walking in the hills. It was very hot so swimming pool was very welcome. The food served was excellent together with the very friendly and accommodating staff. Even though the hotel is on the main road to Foix it was not noisy at night.
Since it was so hot (40degrees) I would have liked a fan or air conditioning .
